New Zealand Cheap Hotels
So anyway, next year I'm going to Christchurch, New Zealand to look at colleges around the Southern tip of the country. I'm trying to stay there for about a month. The plane tickets are costing around $5,000 so I figured it's a waste of time and money to only stay for a week... So I'm looking for a cheap place to stay (I'm thinking a hotel will be too expensive) and I want a place that's not a creepy local residents. So if you have ANY information at all on New Zealand Budget Accommodation I will appreciate it! Thanks!!
Hey there. I'm a college student and this past summer I stayed in Auckland for a month. I found hostels were a good way to go. The one I stayed at, called "Base," has hostels all over New Zealand. They're really nice, clean and have room service come and clean the rooms, they're safe and have locked access (keeps the creepers out!).
There's also an internet lounge, full kitchen, fridges in the rooms, and laundry on site. There's also locked luggage storage you can rent if you're traveling and don't want to take things with you. The basic ones are dorm-styled rooms and you share with five other people.
It was cool though-I'm from the U.S. so I hadn't met alot of people from other countries. A lot of my roommates were from Europe. If you wanted to pay more, you can get rooms with fewer people. I didn't have any trouble though; most backpackers are really friendly and easy-going. It wasn't too expensive: $25 US a night.
I moved around Auckland because I was doing a volunteer project and was stationed all over the city so I wasn't there the entire month. I was only at Base several days at a time. They do offer discounts for New Zealand Budget Accommodation when you stay there extended lengths of time. Hope you enjoy your stay, I wish I was going too!

i want to for my honeymoon in new zealand can please suggest me any package from dubai or india for july?
in that package please include New Zealand budget accommodation . it should be there everything. for package i want for 4 to 5 days only
If you intend to visit for only four or five days then you will have to target a particular area and concentrate your sightseeing there. Without knowing what you like to do, it is difficult to suggest an area. For such a short trip, two main areas come to mind. The Rotorua area (North Island) is good for Maori culture and geo thermal activity. In the South Island, the West Coast for scenery, glaciers, and historical settlements. The major cities are Auckland, Christchurch and Wellington; but a city is a city is a city......... Remember that July is the middle of winter here in NZ. It will be cold!!! particularly relative to Dubai or India. If you're a skier or you like snow then the Queenstown area will be of interest (South Island again). If you want cheap then camp sites are generally of a good standard and have a range of cabin grades to suit most budgets. For such a short period you may find joining a tour is the simplest and most effective way of seeing things. For ideas take a look at: http://www.newzealand.com/English/ http://www.scenicpacific.co.nz/ http://www.nztours.co.nz/ http://www.newzealandtours.net.nz/ http://www.letsgo.co.nz/ or simply goodle/yahoo a search on New Zealand tours
